09-08-87 --- Finding made that construction of sidewalk is needed
for health and safety reasons .
09-08-87 --- Plans approved and authorization granted to advertise
for bids .
10-19-87 -- Resolution No . 87-374 adopted awarding contract to
Redlands Paving , Inc . for the qualified low bid price
of $32 ,423 . 57 .
Recommended motion:
That the work performed by the Contractor , in
accordance with Plan No . 7223 for the construction
of sidewalks on Baseline , Highland and South "E" ,
be approved and accepted , and that final payment
be authorized at the expiration of the lien period .

STAFF REPORT
All work under this contract was satisfactorily completed
as of 1-05-88 . The contract was awarded for the low bid price
of $32 ,423 . 57 . The actual final contract price is $32 ,423 . 57 .
We recommend that the work be approved and accepted and
that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien
period .
