02 -18-52 -- Resolution authorizing the execution of a lease of City
owned property on the northwest corner of 3rd St . and
Waterman Avenue to the U . S . Army Reserve .
06-14-68 -- Resolution authorizing the execution of a lease of City
owned property on the Southwest corner of 4th St . and
Waterman Avenue to the U . S . Naval Reserve .
08-04-82 -- Parcel 9 of Parcel Map No . 7140 , located on the West side
of Waterman Ave . , between 3rd and 4th Streets , conveyed
from the City of San Bernardino to RDA by Grant Deed .
Recommended motion:
That the request from Norsa , Inc . , for the City to quitclaim a portion
of Parcels No . 1 & 8 , of Parcel Map No . 7140 , to the Redevelopment
Agency , be approved in principle , and the Director of Public Works/
City Engineer authorized to prepare the necessary documents .

STAFF REPORT
Parcel No . 9 , of Parcel Map No . 7140 , is owned by the
Redevelopment Agency . Norsa , Inc . has been discussing a Dispo-
sition Agreement with RDA relative to development of a mini
storage facility . However , portions of Parcels No . 1 & 8 will
be needed to provide sufficient property for the proposed
development . A partial copy of Parcel Map No . 7140 and a
map showing the portions needed from Parcels 1 and 8 , are
attached for reference .
A request has been received from Norsa , Inc . , by letter
dated 11-23-87 , that the necessary portions of Parcel No . 1 &
8 be quitclaimed to RDA , so they can be covered by the Disposi -
tion Agreement . A copy of this letter is also attached for
reference .
These parcels are leased to the Navy and Army Reserves .
Quitclaiming the requested portions of these parcels will not
adversely affect the lessee ' s use of these properties . Norsa ,
Inc . has indicated that they will obtain concurrence from the
lessees for quitclaiming the indicated portions of their leased
premises and bear any costs associated with relocation of exist-
ing improvements on the areas to be quitclaimed .
There is a natural drainage channel through the pro-
posed development . A storm drain will be installed as a condition
of the development . This will allow the drainage easement to be
reduced to a standard width of about 15 feet .
