STAFF REPORT
This Resolution confirms the Assessment Roll and approves the
Assessment Diagram Map No. 981 for the maintenance of landscaping in
portions of Meridian Avenue North of Randall Avenue and in the
drainage area located on the North side of Pleasant Way , East of
Meridian Avenue.
On October 5 , 1987 , Resolution of Intention No. 87- 365 was adopted
which instituted formal proceedings to form an assessment district
in the Meridian and Randall Avenue area for the maintenance of
landscaping.
All the requirements of Chapter 12.90 of the Municipal Code were
ful 1 fi l l ed, and on November 2, 1987, the Resolution ordering work
was adopted. The charges for the establishment of the district
total $ 1 ,546.46 which will be paid from the up-front money deposited
by the Developer.

2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO CONFIRMING ASSESSMENT ROLL
NO. 981 FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF LANDSCAPING IN PORTIONS OF MERIDIAN AVENUE NORTH
3 OF RANDALL AVENUE AND IN THE DRAINAGE AREA LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
PLEASANT WAY EAST OF MERIDIAN AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AND
4 APPROVING ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM MAP NO. 981.
5 WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino
6 on October 5, 1987, adopted its Resolution of Intention No. 87-365, to order
7 the work described therein to be done under the provisions of Chapter 12.90 of
8 the San Bernardino City Municipal Code; and
9 WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council on October 5, 1987, approved
10 the Engineer's Report on the proposed assessment district, which report
11 includes a proposed assessment roll and Assessment District Map relative to
12 Assessment District No. 981; and
13 WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution of Intention No. 87-365, the
14 City of San Bernardino proceeded without Notice and Hearing; and
15 WHEREAS, incidental expenses totalling $1,546.46 have been incurred
16 for the establishment of the district, which must be spread over the individual
17 parcels of said assessment district, the City has computed and set forth in
18 attached Exhibit "A" which is incorporated herein by reference the first year
19 assessment for each individual parcel , all of which are as set forth on Exhibit
20 "A" attached hereto, is hereby declared to be the Assessment District No. 981
21 Roll for 1987-88 for the Meridian and Randall Area Landscape Maintenance
22 District.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
24 BERNARDINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
25 SECTION 1. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and
26 determine that the proportionate costs to be levied against the parcels of land

1 within Assessment District No. 981 are correctly set forth on Assessment Roll
2 No. 981 for the fiscal year 1987-88, Meridian and Randall Area Landscape
3 Maintenance District, designated as Exhibit "A" for total costs of establishing
4 the district which Exhibit is attached hereto and is incorporated herein by
5 reference, and the Mayor and Common Council do hereby confirm said assessments.
G SECTION 2. That said Assessment Diagram Map No. 981 is hereby
7 approved.
8 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
9 the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a
10 meeting thereof, held on the day of
11 1988, by the following vote, to wit:
