an Agreement with Joseph E . Bonadiman & Associates re-
lating to the design of a dip crossing at 48th Street
and Devil ' s Canyon Diversion Channel .
Recommended motion:
That a finding be made that the construction of a
culvert on 48th Street , at Devil ' s Canyon Diversion
Channel , is needed for health and safety reasons .

STAFF REPORT
At the present time , 48th Street crosses Devil ' s Canyon
Diversion Channel in a dip section .
This arrangment creates the possibility of a vehicle
driving unaware into flood waters draining in the channel during
a rain . Also , nuisance water from the adjoining subdivision
drains continuously , which creates maintenance problems for the
pavement .
We recommend that a finding be made that construction of
a culvert crossing on 48th Street is needed for health and safety
reasons .
