Synopsis of Previous Council action:
June , 1987 --- Allocation of $89 , 100 in 1987/88 Storm Drain
Construction Fund approved .
Recommended motion:
That a finding be made that the installation
of a storm drain in Northpark Boulevard , from
Mayfield Avenue to Electric Avenue , is needed
for health and safety reasons .

STAFF REPORT
Surface water is continually flowing in the westerly
cross gutter on Electric Avenue , at Northpark Boulevard . This
water is the overspray from watering lawns at the homes to the
north and west . During rainstorms , a considerable amount of
water is drained along the north curb on Northpark Boulevard ,
and then in the cross gutter on Electric Avenue . This flow of
water creates access problems during heavy rains .
Our Storm Drain Master Plan shows a pipe in Northpark
Boulevard . Installation of this pipe will alleviate the flooding
conditions , and also the problems resulting from the constant
flow of nuisance water .
We recommend that a finding be made that the installation
of this storm drain is needed for health and safety reasons .
