10/22/82 Mayor and Common Council authorized formation of the Tri City Citizens
Advisory Committee.
07/18/83 Mayor and Common Council authorized formation of the Uptown Citizens
Advisory Committee.
01/09/84 Mayor and Common Council rescinded the motion of 07/18/83.
02/20/84 Resolution 4580 and Resolution 84-63 authorized formation of the South
Valle Citizens Advisory Committee.
07/11/84 A 15-member Uptown Citizens Advisory Committee was elected.
01/05/85 Mayor and Common Council declared the results of the Special Election for
the Northwest Project Area Committee held on December 18 and 19, 1984 to
be official.
01/18/88 Joint Public Hearing scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on March 21, 1988 Re Role of
CACs/PACs and their Relationship to the Redevelopment Agency.

Move to reschedule time of Joint Public Hearing from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March
21, 1988 to consider the role of Citizens Advisory/Project Area Committees and their
relationship to the Redevelopment Agency.

At the meeting on January 18, 1988, the Community Development Commission set a date
for a Joint Public Hearing on March 21, 1988, at 11:00 a.m. to receive testimony on
the exact role of citizen advisory/project area committees and to consider to what
extent the advisory nature of a committee should extend into areas outside of the
Agency's purview and/or current operation.
On behalf of the Northwest Project Area Committee, Chairman David Lechuga requested
that the time for the public hearing be rescheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to
allow for more public participation and input.
