Background:
The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is seeking Mayor and
Common Council approval to solicit Request for Proposals for the construction of a
double faced free standing pylon sign on Highland Avenue at Perris Hill Park. The
construction of the LED sign, 6 ft x 10 ft in size, will provide an electronic message
display for the City of San Bernardino on one of the most traveled streets in the City.
The sign will be capable of providing written messages and pictures.
This proposed sign will enable the City to promote events, functions, and critical public
information using this effective communication device. Funding for this project has
been secured via a State Parks Grant refund.
