Cal State San Bernardino's Water Resources Institute will celebrate Cong. Jerry LKis'
unprecedented contributions to securing a safe and reliable supply of water for the anf
Empire on Saturday,November 4th. A Sponsor's Reception with Jerry and Ar e °
will begin at 6:00 p.m., with a dinner banquet following at 7:30 p.m., each in our
beautiful Santos Manual Student Union.
As part of the evening's recognition, we'll honor Jerry with a scholarship in his
name. The Congressman Jerry Lewis Endowed Scholarship in Water Resource
Studies will be available to students enrolled in various programs across the University.
I hope you'll join us in this rare opportunity to honor Jerry for the remarkable array of
ways that he's contributed to our region. (I call it a"rare opportunity"because, as you
probably know, Jerry is very reluctant to be recognized for his work on our behalf.)
Again, I hope you'll be able to attend this special event, and that you'll support the
scholarship with a sponsorship or, in any case, by purchasing tickets for the dinner.
