None.
Background:
Bobby Vega was a champion for the youth and parks of the City of San Bernardino.
Bobby Vega's history of serving the community since the 1970's has included working at
Casa de San Bernardino, Los Padrinos of Southern California, Casa Ramona and the
Boys Club along with co-founding the Southern California Mountains Foundation
Conservation Corps. Bobby Vega was a Parks and Recreation Commissioner from
1993 until his passing in 2014.
On February 19, 2015, the Parks and Recreation Commission approved a motion to
approve the renaming of the 9th Street Park and to request Mickey Valdivia, Director of
Parks and Recreation, to take the request before the Common Council for approval.
