HomeMy WebLinkAbout37-Public Comment Our New Reality In the beginning of 2008, the transfer of the global exchange currency from the dollar to the Euro will be complete. When that day arrives, and it's not far off, this country will enter a time of great peril and turmoil. We will enter a time when our lifestyle and standard of living are forever changed. A time when our existing energy consumption and credit card economy are no longer available to meet our daily needs and a time that in many ways resembles our great depression or worst still the balkanization of the former Soviet Union in the 1990s. A time when the old and very young die in mass. Here is where we are today and the factors that will lead us to our new reality. This country is running an 800 billion dollar trade deficit. If we include black market drugs to the equation, our trade deficit will exceed one trillion dollars this year. That trade deficit is not sustainable. In the past three decades we have sold out our domestic industrial base, turned the Drug War into a middle class jobs program and created the largest prison industry on the planet. The cost of this war is exceeding 150 billion dollars annually for all government services combined. This middle class jobs program produces no goods for domestic or foreign markets. Our energy policy. We are simply dependent on imported oil to produce our food and handle the transportation of goods to markets in America. As we lose access and control over most of the global energy sources to Europe and Asia an economic collapse is inevitable. This collapse will be followed by a transition period of a decade or more. During this transition period somewhere between tens of millions and half our population will die from malnutrition, disease and neglect. The old and very young will be the first to die off in this transition. EntFrAd into Record at ;'FnVOPVCmS Mtg: 7 Item 3_ City ClerkICDC Secy Now for the good news, if you can call it that. We do have an economic and political model that survived circumstances similar to these in the 20th century. Unfortunately, that economic and political model is the rise of Nazi Germany in the 1930s. Hitler came to power in 1933 when 50% of the German workforce was unemployed and the country was crippled with debt. Four years later, Germany had full employment and regained its rightful place as the most powerful military and political power in Europe. I doubt you really want to go there. Here is what we have to do for this country to survive the next decade intact. We must find ways to rebuild a strong domestic economy and we need to treat our domestic industrial base the way most industrial nations treat theirs. We need to look on our domestic industrial base as a national treasure that we will willfully defend with our lives when necessary. We need to rebuild our industrial heartland, one solar panel, one farm, one factory and one windmill at a time. This industrial heartland we must rebuild has got to be environmentally and economically sustainable. The final question, what must we demand from our political leaders? It has been a long time since politicians have told us that we must make sacrifices for the common good without self serving motives. It has probably been more than fifty years. That must change because our future is bleak without struggle, sacrifice and unity. We simply will not survive as a nation if we refuse to fight together for the common good. Our politicians must act like leaders or be terminated with extreme prejudice. A final note. Too many among us have sold out our country and our obligations as citizens for the almighty dollar. Unfortunately, one of the problems with selling out your country for a buck is that you rarely, if ever, have enough money to buy it back. Those citizens that have sold out this country will have hell to pay when they are held accountable for their crimes. It will be hell for the traitors and the thieves. The only place for the traitors and the thieves, is up against the wall. Why They Hate Us - Oil Perspective The Math Given US Population- 300,000,000 (300 million) Household defined as a family of 4 Total households- 75 million households Total US consumption of oil per year s . 20 million barrels per day times 365 days per year = 7.3 billion barrels per year f: Average oil consumption per household in US Total oil consumption per year divided by number of households in US 7.3 billion barrels divided by 75 million households = approximately 100 barrels per household Recoverable oil reserves per household in the US = 300 barrels --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Iraq Given Population- between 20 and 22 million Total households- 5.5 million maximum Proven recoverable oil reserves- 110 billion barrels Recoverable oil reserves per household in Iraq 110 billion barrels divided by 5.5 million households = approximately 20,000 barrels per household Approximate value of oil per household in Iraq at $70 dollars per barrel 20,000 barrels times $70 per barrel = 1.4 million dollars per household Conclusion 1. There is more than enough oil wealth left in Iraq for a full economic recovery, even if the government is as corrupt and grossly mismanaged as the US. 2. There is more than enough trained military personnel and weaponry in the country to repel an invasion by any neighbor. 3. Our oil reserves in America are at a severely depleted level. To maintain our "Way of life" we must acquire this resource through violence. We are ill prepared to deal with a post oil society. Why They Hate Us - Environmental Perspective We've dumped close to 10,000 tons of radiological munitions on Iraq in the two wars. Drinking water levels in the heaviest hit areas exceeds 500 pico curries and the technology to clean up the biosphere in these areas is at best cost prohibitive and at worst simply does not exist. To truly understand the environmental damage of radiological munitions on the area I will provide an example and an understanding of what radiological munitions are. Radiological munitions are pyrophoric, which means they burn and a large percentage of those munitions end up as a fine dust that easily lodges in the lungs, kidneys bones and gut. Second, radiological munitions are radioactive, which means, a) when the fine dust lodges in your lungs in significant quantities, fibrosis and tumors develop in the lungs. B) When these radioactive particles lodge in the kidneys in sufficient quantity, kidney disease will begin to kill you in a few years. C) When a man that has been exposed to quantities of this radioactive dust has sex with his wife, miscarriages and severe birth defects run as high as 70%. D) Drinking radioactive water disperses radioactive particles throughout the body. The children are the first to become sick and die. Now for the example. If we took 2500 tons of radiological munitions and we set fire to those munitions in four American cities, let's say, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Atlanta, what would happen? Initially everybody would get sick, but what is really important is four years down the road. Four years later, everyone would be sick, dying or dead. Kidney failure, Fibrosis of the lungs, cancers, Leukemia. Everyone would be sick, dying or dead. Conclusion They may hate us because we're not Moslems but I doubt that is the reason they are killing our troops in Iraq or the reasons behind the 911 attacks. We are importing 15 million barrels of oil a day in the US but we pay full market value for very little of it. When this last war with Iraq started, there were 140 billion barrels of proven reserves there. Now there are only 110 billion barrels left. Iraq has been paid less than a dollar a barrel for that oil (approximately 30 billion barrels) and the money ended up in the hands of subcontractors to rebuild Iraq's infrastructure. Of course the rebuilding of Iraq never took place either. We are attempting to turn Iraq into a defacto colony of the United States. They are not killing our troops because they are Americans. They are killing our troops because as long as those troops are there, the looting and killing of Moslems, for oil, will continue. They are killing their own security forces because they are recognized as traitors to the Moslem world. The only place for the traitors and thieves is up against the wall. s 1 C ts, of Sa n: Be rn a rdino IWO Rild MPire "Promoting Fitness and the Spirit of Competition" Winners All September 28 - October 5, 2007 <RK soh• Fr+-rqO into Record at rlwcros Mtg. ,a item 7_ Co-Sponsored y: City Clerk►CDC Secy The Drayson Center City of San Bernardino 0 Residents of the 43rd Congressional District: I want to represent you in Congress!
