City Clerk Congress is planning on voting on Fast Trade lWgh)h 99i-AWinans Pacific Partnership within the next two weeks. I am suggesting that you get involved in opposing the legislation. If you do not get involved and the Trans Pacific Partnership becomes a reality, all your effects to revitalize San Bernardino will Be Bullshit. I was around during the NARA debate and had serious concerns of the impact NARA would have on the development of Norton that had just dosed down. Norton would not end up a manufacturing hub because Nafta would move manufacturing to Mexico instead. S3n Bernardino would be screwed and we might never see the area revitalized. I'll be providing a copy of this to the city oounciltoday. A little background on me Family roots are in South Carolina and rebellion runs through our veins. We win some and we lose some. I've written extensively on Drug Policy, Environmental issues and the Macro-economic policies of America. Well educated, engineering background and almost 20 years of research, public speaking and movement building. Tough in afight and hard to kill. I'm one of those systems guys that see the big picture and I am rarely wrong. I've also worked in Finance, construction, private research. In 2007 1 went into renewable energy (Mostly solar) after we shut down the Yucca Mountain Project. Trade policy 20 years ago I publicly opposed NARA and my basic assessments were right. NAPA would create dose to 10,000,000 surplus population, drive down middle dasswages, and force a radical expansion of the Drug war and the prison industry. It was critical to realize that the destruction of a major component of the Middle class (Manufacturing) would destabilize and disenfranchise entire regions in America. Many of those displaced workers would end up in the black markets to survive. I bring up NAFFA because the IPP, Trans Pacific Partnership will only benefit the wealthiest and most powerful politically in America. It is designed to shut down any barriers left that protects national interests, environmental justice, civil rights and legal protection from financial crimes (like those that crashed the system in 2008) To protect the looting rights of oligarchy under this trade agreement, the military will have to increase significantly while Infrastructure in America will continue to decay. A strategic shift in the global economy, from the dollar as the reserve currency will force structural changes in America. China with the second largest economy globally, is a major player behind the removal of the US dollar as the global reserve currency with a trade surplus approaching $400 billion. This trade agreement is designed to replace China as the source of manufacturing products for American consumers and give Wall Street ownership control over the means of production. The concept of Banana Republic applies here. Domination of resources, manufacturing and the economy under the terms of empire describe the agenda here. China's industrial development was accomplished with trade agreements that kept control of their own developments and industry. There were also no US troops or covert operations to disrupt state control over the industrial policy over China. Unfortunately, the Trans Pacific Partnership will be a different animal. It will require major investments in military covert operations to enforce greater economic and industrial domination over many of these nations. We really are in a race to the bottom. ,ay Lindberg
