Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
None.
Background:
LaSalle Medical Associates made a $3,000 donation for library books for Paul
Villasenor Library. This donation was deposited into Memorial Trust account# 772-2419
where donations for library books are directed.
Staff requests the Mayor and Common Council appropriate and allocate transfer of this
donation into library budget account# 105-470-0064-5123 (Branch Libraries - Library
Books) so that books may be purchased.

6 WHEREAS, La Salle Medical Group has generously donated $3,000 to the City of San

Bernardino for the purpose of supporting branch library operations at the Paul Villasenor
8 Branch Library; and, c

10 WHEREAS, the Paul Villasenor Branch Library requires additional books to serve its

12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON c

14 SECTION 1. That the Director of Finance, or his/her designee, is authorized and

15 directed to perform a budget transfer of$3,000 from Account #772-2419, where the $3,000

16 donation from La Salle Medical Group was deposited, to Account #105-470-0064-5123, the R

SECTION 2. That the Director of Finance, or his/her designee, is authorized and

directed to perform a budget amendment increasing the Library's Fiscal Year 2014-2015
21 Budget by$3,000 to reflect the donation. a
