Financial Impact:
Budgeted Funds are available in account no. 001-010-0001-5502 — Mayor's Office
Administration Contractual Services for this contract amendment. As of November 24,
2014, $27,438.50 remains on the contract amount which expires December 31, 2014. It
is estimated that $50,000.00 is needed to complete the Fiscal Year. The funds for this
contract are budgeted in the Mayor's Office Administration budget for FY 14115.
Motion: Adopt the Resolution.
Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
On April 21, 2014, the Mayor and Common Council approved Resolution number 2014-
113 which authorized a contract of$100,000.00 for the period to include May 1, 2014
through December 31, 2014 for the Mayor's Chief of Staff Services. Previously, the City
Manager had provided a contract for such services for the period of March 5, 2014
through May 1, 2014, in the amount of$24,999.00.
Background:
This Resolution would extend the subject contract for a one-year period, with two (2)
one-year renewal options for a maximum of three (3) years, thereafter subject to the
provision of funding within the budget process. The amount of the contract shall not
exceed $125,000 per calendar year. This contract extension will take effect January 1,
2015.

6 In consideration of the mutual covenants and conditions set forth herein, the parties agree as a

8 1. This Amendment is made with respect to the following facts and purposes: o

9 a. On April 21, 2014, the City and MICA-PR, INC. entered into that certain

10 agreement entitled "Professional Services Agreement between the City of San a
11 Bernardino and MICA-PR, INC." ("Agreement") for$100,000.00. c
12 2. Section 2 Term is hereby amended to extend the agreement through December 31,

14 3. Section 3 Compensation is hereby amended to change the maximum annual amount to
