Background:
The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department ("Parks Department") is
seeking Mayor and Common Council approval to solicit Request for Proposals for the
design and construction of outdoor basketball courts and various renovations at Nunez
Park. If approved by the Mayor and Common Council, the Parks Department will
request formal bids for the following improvements:
Project Name Description
Basketball Courts Development of a design plan and
construction of a full sized basketball
court; Also design and development of two
half basketball courts
Baseball/Softball Field Upgrade existing ball field lighting
Facility Upgrades Upgrade existing restrooms, fencing
(provide additional fencing), parking lot
repairs, and meet ADA parking
requirements around the perimeter of the
Community Center

All expenditures for the proposed projects will be funded utilizing restricted, State grant
funding. Expenditures for the proposed projects will have no significant financial impact
V%MW, to the general fund.
