Synopsis of Previous Council action:
On May 4 , 1992 , the Mayor and Common Council approved salary
increases for Headstart/Preschool positions, retroactive to
September 1, 1991.

Recommended motion:
1. Approve salary increases for the following
Headstart/Preschool positions, retroactive to September 1, 1992 :
Teacher/Director (from $10.22/hour to $10.57/hour) ; Teacher (from
$8 , 89/hour to $9. 19/hour) ; Teacher Aide (from $5. 53/hour to
$5.72/hour) ; and, Clerk (from $5. 53/hour to $5.72/hour) .
2 . Direct the Personnel Department to update Resolution 6413 ,
Section Thirteen.

STAFF REPORT
Annie Ramos, Director of Parks, Recreation & Community Services,
has requester salary increases for the following positions:
Position Current Salary Proposed Salary
Teacher Director $10.22/hour $10. 57/hour
Teacher $8.89/hour $9. 19/hour
Teacher Aide $5.53/hour $5.72/hour
Clerk $5.53/hour $5.72/hour
These pay rates are in conformance with, and recommended by, the
Preschool Services Department. Because the school year is from
September 1, 1992 to August 31, 1993, it is requested that these
pay rates be effective retroactively to September 1, 1992 .
There will be no impact to the General Fund, because these
positions are federally funded.
Attached is a copy of the 1992-93 Budget.
