Background:
Four members of the Common Council attended the 2014 League of California Cities
Conference and Expo, which took place September 3-5 in Los Angeles: Council Members
Barrios (Ward 2), Valdivia(Ward 3),Nickel (Ward 5) and Mulvihill (Ward 7).
Assembly Bill 1234, which covers ethics requirements for elected officials, mandates that
policymakers who attend conferences representing a body must report back to the body.
