approved.
Recommended motion:
That the plans for installation of storm drainage improvements to
the Chestnut Avenue Storm Drain, in accordance with Plan No.
8986 , be approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer
be directed to advertise for bids.

CITY OF SAN BERNOWINO - REQUEST IT"IR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Plans for installation of storm drainage improvements to
the Chestnut Avenue Storm Drain have been prepared by the Engi-
neering Division and the project is ready to be advertised for
bids. The project consists, in general , of installing addition-
al inlets for local drainage to the Chestnut Avenue Storm Drain.
Collection and discharge of local drainage into the main storm
drain will alleviate some of the problems experienced during last
winter' s heavy rains.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 24 , 120
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1513) 7 , 500
Sub-Total $ 31 , 620
Contingencies (10%) ± 3 , 180
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 34,800
All costs incurred for these improvements will be charged
to the $50 ,000 allocated in the 1993/94 Storm Drain Construction
Fund Budget, under Account No. 248-368-57847 .
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
