Council Notes: Ties 76-0262 Agenda Item No. CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT The Traffic Engineering Section received a request to install 2-way stop signs at the intersection of Temple Street and Wall Avenue. The intersection is currently uncontrolled. An investigation was completed by the Traffic Engi- neering Staff. The investigation found that a 2-way stop is warranted. The Traffic Safety Committee evaluated this request at their April 10 , 1996 , meeting . The Committee concurred with the findings of the Traffic Engineering staff, and recommended that a 2-way stop be installed at this intersection. Since Wall Avenue (north/south street) carries more traffic than Temple Street (east/west street) , it is recommended that the signs be installed to stop east and west bound traffic . Also included in the attached resolution are stop signs, previously approved under Resolution No. 2482 , at the inter- section of Wall Avenue at 15th Street. For consistency, it is recommended that these signs be included in Resolution No. 655 . We recommend that the installation of stop signs on Temple Street, at Wall Avenue, be approved. 4-24-96 16TH ST BASE LINE ST a J Q TEM LE ST 9TH ST , r Q r w > Q LA LOCATION OF PROPOSED NORTH 2-WAY STOP
