STAFF REPORT
There is presently a 300 foot section along the north side
of Kendall Drive, east of the Devil ' s Creek Flood Control Channel
that is not improved with curb and gutter and full width paving.
However, on each side of this section, Kendall Drive has been
fully improved by recent developments .
The absence of full width street improvements for this 300
foot section disrupts the normal flow of traffic and creates a
drainage problem by run-off from the apartment development to the
west.
There are three 100-foot lots within this section, two of
which are developed with older single family residences and the
third is vacant.
The preliminary estimate of cost for installing curb and
gutter and full width pavement is $19 , 000 .
In order to alleviate a potential traffic or drainage
problem, we recommend that $19 , 000 be allocated to finance the
cost for installing fill-in street improvements over this
section.
