CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO -P REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Plans have been prepared for the installation of traffic
signal detector loops at 14 intersections . The project consists,
in general , of installing new traffic signal loops to replace
existing ones that have become inoperative, due to either normal
usage or damage by street cuts .
Below is the total estimated project cost:
Construction contract $ 16 , 080
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1942) 1 , 600
Sub-Total $ 17 , 680
Contingencies (150) ± 2 ,320
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 19 , 000
All costs incurred for this project will be charged to
Account No. 250-670-5504-1942 , "Minor Improvements - Various
Locations. "
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids .
