By Resolution, rental fees for this use would be an estimated $ 5,674. Junior University has been conducting youth theater at FDR Bowl for over two decades. Attendance exceeds 15,000 each summer. Junior University has acquired a $ 1 million liability policy. This request is in conformance with the conditions of Resolution 94-66 for waiver of fees. 3/12/96 amt junior university JUNIOR UNIVERSITY P.O. Box 6471 San Bernardino, CA 92412 (909) 889.0833 March 8 , 1996 John Kramer San Bernardino City Parks and Recreation Department 547 North Sierra Way San Bernardino, California 92410 Dear Mr. Kramer, Junior University, Inc . of San Bernardino, a non-profit organization, will again present our family summer theater at Roosevelt Bowl in Perris Hill Park. This production of "Aladdin" will be our 34th year in San Bernardino. The dates of our performances will be July 19 through August 3 , 1996 . We will be utilizing the facility for auditions in May and will begin our nightly rehearsals in June . We are requesting that the City accept the Junior University ' s payment of the insurance premium in lieu of the rental fees for the use of Roosevelt Bowl. Junior University is providing a $1 , 000, 000 . 00 comprehensive liability policy that also covers the City. The premium on this policy is very costly and additional expenses of rental costs would make our financial arrangements extremely difficult . We appreciate your consideration and assistance with regard to this request. Sincerely, rr W.
