CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
The project to extend Orange Show Road, from Arrowhead Avenue to Tippecanoe
Avenue, is underway. This street will tie into San Bernardino Avenue at Tippecanoe
Avenue.
Portions of the new street encompass existing Pioneer Street, thus requiring a name
change.
A map is attached for reference.
There are about 12 residences and 1 business on Pioneer Street that would have to change
their address to Orange Show Road. The effective date of the change could be set about
6 months in the future in order to allow the adjoining residents and business to use up
their checks and correspondence.
All affected property owners, residents, City Departments and Utility Companies will be
notified of the proposed street name change.
We recommend that authorization be granted to proceed with the street name change.
