CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
A parking permit program was approved in April , 1997 , for the
area east of Victoria Avenue, in order to prevent the patrons of
the Indian Bingo and Casino from parking in this residential
neighborhood.
This parking program consisted of establishing "No Parking"
zones. However, vehicles displaying a parking permit are exempt
from this prohibition. Permits were issued to adjoining
residents .
Establishment of this program has been effective in controlling
parking east of Victoria Avenue. However, patrons of the gaming
facilities are now parking in the residential neighborhood west
of Victoria Avenue.
A petition has been received from all four of the residents on
Citrus Street, between Victoria Avenue and Los Feliz Drive, re-
questing that the parking program be expanded to include their
properties .
We recommend that the parking program be expanded to include
these four properties .
