Recommended motion:
That the plans for rehabilitation of pavement on Mill Street, from
ILIt. Vernon Avenue to "I" Street, in accordance with Plan No. 9734 ,
be approved, and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer be
authorized to advertise for bids .

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Plans for the rehabilitation of pavement on Mill Street, from Mt.
Vernon Avenue to "I" Street, have been completed and the project
is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists, in
general , of removing the top 1" of existing pavement, crack seal ,
and applying 1" of new asphalt pavement. Also, traffic signal
loop detectors, traffic stripes, and roadside signs are being
installed.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 134 , 274
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #7104) 11 , 000
Sub-Total $ 145 , 274
Contingencies (7%) ± 9 , 726
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 155 , 000
All costs incurred for this project will be charged to the
$155 , 000 allocated in the 1997/98 1/2-Cent Sales Tax Budget,
under Account No. 129-367-5504-7104 .
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted
to advertise for bids.
