That the plans for rehabilitation of the pavement on Sierra Way,
from Mill Street to Rialto Avenue, in accordance with Plan No.
9734 , be approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer
be authorized to advertise for bids .

STAFF REPORT
Plans for rehabilitation of the pavement on Sierra Way, from Mill
Street to Rialto Avenue, have been completed and the project is
ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists, in
general , of removing the top 1" of existing pavement, crack seal,
and applying 1" of new asphalt pavement. Also, traffic signal
loop detectors, traffic stripes, and roadside signs will be
installed.
Below is an estimate of the total project cost:

Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #7103) 7 , 300
Sub--Total $ 118 , 949
Contingencies (50) ± 6 , 051
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 125 , 000
All costs incurred for this project will be charged to the
$125 ,000 allocated in the 1997/98 1/2-Cent Sales Tax Budget,
under Account No. 129-367-5504-7103 .
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted
to advertise for bids .
