Synopsis of Previous Commission/Council/Committee Action(s):
On June 16, 1997,the Mayor and Common Council approved the funding of a Demolition Program,to support the
Code Enforcement Program,in the amount of$230,000 in CDBG funding.
On May 5, 1997,the Mayor and Common Council approved and adopted the Community Development Citizen
Advisory Committee's recommendations for the 1997/1998 Fiscal Year funds,with modifications and caveats,and
authorized the Mayor to submit these projects as part of the Third Year Action Plan component of the Consolidated Plan
to the U.S.Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Recommended Motion(s):

MOTION: That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino accept these projects as part of
a the Consolidated Plan and authorize and direct the execution of Community Development Block Grant
(CDBG)Funding Agreements between the City of San Bernardino and the corresponding Agencies.

Consolidated Plan - Related Items - Projects 96-234 and 97-213
Consolidated Plan Related Items
The Second and Third Year Action Plans, as amended, were approved by the Mayor and
Common Council of the City of San Bernardino and have been accepted by the U.S. Department
of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
HUD requires that all environmental reviews be completed prior to the commitment of CDBG
funds, or the execution of agreements. Staff has received the completed environmental reviews
on the projects listed below and is now requesting authorization to execute standard CDBG
Agreements.
