A proposed affiliation of San Bernardino Community Hospital with Catholic Health West -
Southern California is under consideration.
Opponents of the affiliation asked for an opportunity to address the City Council on the
issue. Proponents have also requested an opportunity to speak.
If permitted to do so, Dr. Samuel Sepuya will speak on behalf of the opposition and Bruce
Satzger, Chief Executive Officer of Community Hospital of San Bernardino, on behalf of
the proponents.
Each side has requested ten (10) minutes each for the two speakers.
I have explained that the decision to hear the item and the decision on the time limits is
within the purview of the City Council.
