ORDINANCE NO. MC-1389
1 AN ORDINANCE OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION
2 8.30.150 REGARDING EMERGENCY ABATEMENT.

4 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
5 BERNARDINO DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

7 Section 1. San Bernardino Municipal Code Section 8.30.150(A) is hereby amended to read
8
as follows:

"8.30.150 Emergency Abatement.
10
11 A. Not withstanding any other provision of this Chapter with reference to the
12 abatement of public nuisance, whenever the Director of Community
13 Development, Fire Chief, Chief of Police in his capacity as supervisor of
14
Code Enforcement, City Engineer, Director of Public Works or a duly
15
authorized representative of any of the foregoing determines that property, a
16
17 building or structure is structurally unsafe, or constitutes a fire hazard, or
18 endangers the life, health, property or safety of the public or its occupants,
19
and such condition constitutes an immediate hazard or danger, he or she
20
shall, without observing the provisions of this Chapter with reference to
21
22 abatement procedures, immediately and forthwith abate the existing public
23 nuisance."
