Main Street Revitalization
Program, Phase II
Bids for this project were opened at 2: 00 p.m. , Tuesday, 3-30-93.
A total of 8 bids were received, ranging from $1, 028,810 to
$1 , 163, 118. The low bid of $1,028 ,810 is 4 .48 below the
Engineer' s Estimate of $1 , 076, 002 .
Below is an estimate of the total project cost, based upon the
actual low bid price.
Construction Contract $ 1,028,810
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1928) 36,100
1-inch Water Meter Fees (3) 17,955
Sub-Total $ 1,082,865
Contingencies (108) ± 108,135
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 1,181,000
All costs incurred for Phase II will be financed from the
available balance of $1 ,205,000, under Account No. 650-0105.
We recommend that a contract be awarded to the low bidder.

2 - RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AWARDING A CONTRACT TO MARINA CONTRACTORS,
3 INC. FOR MAIN STREET REVITALIZATION PROGRAM, PHASE II.
4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION,
ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
5 OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
6 SECTION 1. Marina Contractors, Inc. is the lowest
7 responsible bidder for: Main Street Revitalization Program,
8 Phase II, per Plan No. 8812. A contract is awarded accordingly
9 to said bidder for the total amount of $1,028,810.00, but such
10 award shall be effective only upon the contract being fully
11 executed by both parties. All other bids, therefore, are hereby
12 rejected. The Chairman is hereby authorized and directed to
13 execute said contract on behalf of the Commission; a copy of the
14 contract is on file in the office of the Director of Public Works
15 and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth
16 at length.
17 SECTION 2. This contract and any amendment or modifica-
18 tions thereto shall not take effect or become operative until
19 fully signed and executed by the parties and no party shall be
20 obligated hereunder until the time of such full execution. No
21 oral agreements, amendments, modifications or waivers are
22 intended or authorized and shall not be implied from any act or
23 course of conduct of anv party.
24 SECTION 3. This resolution is rescinded if the parties
25 to the contract fail to execute it within sixty (60) days of the
26 passage of this resolution.
