Kipp, 596 Country Club Rd., San Bernardino, 92404 (909) 883-3328 I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio November 30, 1939 the last of eight children. Graduated Western Hills High School, Cincinnati Ohio 1948. 1 enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1948 and received training as a Military Policeman at Fort Gordon, Georgia. I received an Honorable Discharge as a Staff Sergeant in 1952. I joined the San Bernardino Police Department in 1952 as a Patrolman. While there I earned an Associate of Arts Degree from San Bernardino Valley College in 1955. After completing a full semester at Claremont Men's College, I resigned the San Bernardino Police Department in January of 1956 and joined the California Highway Patrol. I entered the California Highway Patrol Academy in January 1956. 1 attained the rank of Sergeant in 1962 and was transferred to the Sacramento Area. I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 1967 and transferred to Baldwin Park. I attained the rank of Captain in 1972 where I was assigned as the Commander of the San Bernardino Area. I served in that position until 1984 when I retired. During this period I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration from Cal State, San Bernardino. During my tenure with the California Highway Patrol I served for three years as a member of the Traffic Committee of San Bernardino County. I then worked for State Senator Ruben Ayala as a Field Representative for approximately six and one half years. I have been married to my wife Lois for over 48 years, and we have three grown children and five grandchildren.
