2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
8.65.030(c) OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
3 DESTRUCTION OF WEAPONS DELIVERED TO OTHER AGENCIES
4 THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

6 SECTION 1. Subsection (c) of Section 8. 65.030 of the San
7 Bernardino Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
8 " (c) Any firearm, or part of any firearm, which,
9 rather than being destroyed, is used for official
10 purposes pursuant to this section shall be destroyed
11 by the Department or other agency using the weapon
12 when it is no longer needed for use in carrying out
13 official duties, and shall only be turned over to
14 another agency pursuant to this chapter if the Agency
15 agrees in writing to not sell said firearm. "
