Recommended Motion:
That the Mayor and Common Council and the Community Development Commission
approve the following dates for regular meetings of the Mayor and Common/
Community Development for the year 2001: January 8 (second Monday); January 22
(fourth Monday); February 5 and 20; March 5 and 19; April 2 and 16; May 7 and 21;
June 4 and 18; July 9 (second Monday) July 23 (fourth Monday); August 6 and 20;
September 4 and 17; October 1 and 15; November 5 and 19; December 3 and 17.

regular meeting dates for 2001

BACKGROUND
This is a request to have the Mayor and Common Council/Community Development
Commission approve the following Council/Commission regular meeting dates for 2001:
January 8 (second Monday); January 22 (fourth Monday); February 5 and 20; March 5
and 19; April 2 and 16; May 7 and 21; June 4 and 18; July 9 (second Monday); July 23
(fourth Monday); August 6 and 20; September 4 and 17; October 1 and 15; November
5 and 19; December 3 and 17.
Except for the meetings noted in January and July, all other regular
Council/Commission meetings for 2001 will take place on the first and third Mondays of
each month, with the exception of those falling on a holiday. Due to the holidays and
the anticipated conflicts with meeting agenda deadlines, it is proposed that
Council/Commission meetings in January and July be held on the second and fourth
Mondays of the month, rather than the first and third Mondays.
With the Mayor and Common Council's approval of a year-long schedule of regular
meeting dates, it would make it easier for all departments by providing them with as
much notice as possible of deadlines for submitting agenda items for the entire calendar
year.
RECOMMENDED MOTION:
That the Mayor and Common Council and the Community Development Commission
approve the following dates for regular meetings of the Mayor and Common/
Community Development for the year 2001: January 8 (second Monday); January 22
(fourth Monday); February 5 and 20; March 5 and 19; April 2 and 16; May 7 and 21;
June 4 and 18; July 9 (second Monday); July 23 (fourth Monday); August 6 and 20;
September 4 and 17; October 1 and 15; November 5 and 19; December 3 and 17.
