The Mayor and Common Council hereby determine that the public convenience
and necessity require and the City Engineer and City Clerk are authorized
and directed to amend the scope of Assessment District No. 987 to include
the installation of sanitary sewer facilities in portions of Palm Avenue,
North of the centerline of Interstate Highway 1-215.

REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
This action is the result of further studies related to the improvemert
of Palm Avenue between the I-215 Freeway and Verdemont Drive. The sco~e
of the original district was for the construction of curbs, gutters,
paving, sidewalk and street lights. The improvement of Palm Avenue is
only a portion (Zone) of a larger District which includes the Chestnut
Drain and the Signals and Box Culvert at Palm and Kendall.
The purpose of the action is to determine that the public convenience and
necessi ty requi re the amendment of the scope of Assessment Di stri ct No.
987 by expanding the scope thereof to include the installation of
sanitary sewers and appurtenant facilities in portions of Palm Avenue.
No Resolutions establishing the District have yet been adopted, therefor,
this action can be made by Motion.
