HomeMy WebLinkAboutS15-Council Office " 10 11 12 - - - #;",~ _.o'ml'll"., '-' _I 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BBRNARDINO ESTABLISHING A REWARD OF $1,000 FOR INFORMATION 3 LEADING TO THB ARREST AND CONVICTION OF ANY PERSON FOR WILLFULLY DUMPING ON PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY. 4 5 6 WHEREAS, the willful unauthorized dumping on public and private property is increasing each year and results in substantial costs to the public, businesses, landlords and 7 8 9 private property owners, and WHEREAS, such willful dumping on public and private property lowers property values, discourages Clean-up efforts, lessens community pride, attracts gangs and gang activity, and encourages further deterioration of neighborhoods; and WHEREAS, such dumping frustrates the City's efforts at 13 making the City a better place to live and work through code 14 15 16 17 18 19 enforcement and other related programs, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino as follows: SECTION 1. The City hereby offers a reward of $1,000 to anyone providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person for willfully dumping on public or private 20 property. 21 If the reward is payable to two or more SECTION 2. 22 23 24 persons, it shall be divided equally between such persons. SECTION 3.
