1. DISCUSSION OF FUNDING AND EXPENDITURES - The Commit-
tee, after extensive discussion, recommended approval of the
staff proposal presented. The Committee requested that any
unaccounted, unpredicted savings that may have taken place in
the first quarter, in all departments, be presented in the
backup to this agenda item.
The Committee requested the City Administrator to sched-
ule a luncheon meeting on October 16 to discuss the procedure
of bringing issues to a committee. There was some concern
that expenditures and/or appropriations having to do with
capital improvements and equipment were not going to the
correct committee. There was also concern over the process
of how issues are brought to Council committees. Do they go
to committee first or does the full Council refer them to
committee?
Because of the League of California
the Ways and Means Committee will meet
warranted.
