STAFF REPORT
On December 12, 1988, the Ways and Means Committee recommended that certain City
owned parcels be considered for sale.
On March 20, 1989, the Real Property Section was authorized to proceed with the
sale of those parcels. As part of the proceedings, all City departments were
notified of the proposed sale, and solicited for their comments and
recommendations relative to present or future needs.
The Water Department indicated their interest and desire to use the property
located at Garner and Olive as a proposed well site, and a recommendation was
made, and approved at the August 21, 1989 Council meeting, to transfer use of
this property to the Water Department.
We recommend that the attached Resolution, which reserves and sets aside this
parcel of land for Water Department use, be adopted.

RESOLUTION NO.
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO RESERVING AND SETTING
ASIDE A CERTAIN PARCEL OF CITY OWNED LAND , LOCATED AT GARNER AVENUE AND
3 OLIVE STREET, FOR THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL WATER DEPARTMENT USE.
4 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino owns a certain parcel of land,
5 generally located on Garner Avenue and Olive Street, in the City of San
6 Bernardino, more fully described hereinafter; and
7
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino has determined that said
8 parcel of land is not needed for present use by said City; and
9 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department
10 desires to use said parcel of land for a water well and appurtenant
11 facilities.
12 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino do hereby reserve and set aside to the City of San Bernardino
Municipal Water Department, for the purpose of constructing and maintaining
a water well and appurtenant facll i ties, in, over, under and across the
following described real property:
Lot 2, Tract 2141 as per plat recorded in Book 31 of
Maps, page 33, records of the County of San Bernardino,
state of California.
21 SECTION 2. This reservation is being made subject to any existing
22 reservations, restrictions or easements that may currently exist on the

above described real property.
SECTION 3. In the event that the property herein described is no
longer needed by the City of San Bernardino Municipal Water Department, use
and control of said property will revert back to the City of San Bernardino.
