Virginia St. The owner was given a five (5) day courtesy notice on August 7, 1989. No volunteer action was taken and a formal legal ten (10) day notice was issued on August 16, 1989. Legal notice was mailed to land and registered owners. No action was taken by either party and no appeal was filed. Vehicle was abated August 29, 1989. There was one (1) vehicle abated, total cost $138.50. CASE NO. 89 VAP 358-08 75-0264 ... -- 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ASSESSING 3 CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT OF PUBLIC 4: NUISANCES ON SAID PROPERTIES CASE NO. 89 VAP 358-..0.8 5 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its authority 6 under Chapter 8.36 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code, did lawfully give 7 notice of and thereafter abate public nuisances found to exist on the 8 properties described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated in this 9 resolution; and 10 WHEREAS, pursuant to the San Bernardino Municipal Code, the 11 Superintendent of Public Buildings served notice to all property owners of 12 the abatement costs for removing abandoned, wrecked, dismantled, and/or 13 inoperative vehicles or parts thereof from the property; and 14: WHEREAS, opportunity for a hearing before the Board of Building 15 Commissioners to protest the abatement costs was afforded the property 16 owners, with no response forthcoming; 17 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON 18 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 19 SECTION 1. The Mayor and Common Council confirm and adopt as 20 special assessments, the following abatement costs which have been incurred 21 by the City for the abatement of public nuisances found to exist on the 22 following properties: 23 Assessment No. 24 1 25 26 Assessor's No. 143-273-09 Property Address 1718 W. The above assessments shall be paid to Public Buildings/Parking Control, basement of City Hall, 300 N. "D" Street, San Bernardino, CA. 92418, within thirty (30) days after notice of this resolution is mailed to all parties with an interest in the above properties. All assesscents not fully paid in thirty (30) days shall become a lien on the property pursuant to the San Bernardino rvlunicipal Code and shall be collected as a special assessment thereon. SECTION. 3. If the above assessment is not paid as hereinabove provided, the City Clerk is directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Auditor of the County of San Bernardino, State of California, directing that said assessraent be entered as a lien against the property as it appears on the current assessment rolls. The assessP1ent shall be collected at the same time and in the same manner as the general property taxes for the City of San Bernardino including penalties and interest for delinquent payments. The City Clerk shall also present for recording appropriate noticeG of the imposition of these liens with the County Recorder.
