PARKS DIVISION BUDGET, LINE NO. 001-
382-53146 FOR UNIFORM RENTAL FOR ALL
PARK MAINTENANCE GENERAL EMPLOYEES.
The General Employees current MOU requires that all Park Maintenance workers
be furnished uniforms. This proposal will provide shirts and pants for 43
Park employees who are not presently in uniform. The Department has provided
uniforms for plumbing crews and certain high visibility employees in the past.
Uniforms will enable our employees to be readily recognized while on duty in the
parks and other areas for which this Department is responsible. Not only will
uniformed employees enhance the image of the City, but should also provide a
measure of security for citizens utilizing the Parks because they will easily
recognize someone who represents the City should a need for assistance or service
arise.
Positive consideration and approval of this request is urged so that union and
daily work requirements may be met.
