Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Council has approved similar requests during the last five years for more than
30 fire department personnel to attend the National Fire Academy.
Recommended motion:
That authorization for R. Paul Allaire, Fire Department, to attend a Fire
Prevention Specialist I course at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg,
Maryland, August 1, 1988 through August 12, 1988, be approved.

Please be advised that Rita Kent will not be able to attend subject
course. She will re-apply in the Spring of 1989.
Attached herewith is Raymond P. Allaire's general admission application
for the Academy. We request that he be allowed to attend the Fire
Prevention Specialist I course on August 1, 1988 through August 12, 1988
in place of Rita Kent. All necessary funds and travel arrangements
have been made and approved.
