STAFF REPORT
The Engineering Division received a request to evaluate
the traffic safety condition on 28th Street between Waterman
Avenue and "E" Street. The concern was stop control of the
side streets entering 28th Street.
The matter was discussed by the Traffic Safety Committee
and a recommendation was brought to the Mayor and Common Council
to install stop control at side streets entering onto 28th
Street.
There was stop control for the east/west direction at
"0" Street. However, the resolution called for additional signs
on "0" Street to stop north/south traffic. This was in error in
the implementation of the recommendation of the Safety Committee.
Staff requested the stop signs for the north-bound "0" Street
traffic be removed and warning signs be installed.
We recommend approval of the attached resolution to
correct the error.

3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2482 ENTITLED, IN PART, "A RESOLUTION.
4 DESIGNATING CERTAIN STREET INTERSECTIONS WHERE A STOP IS
REQUIRED. . ."; AND AUTHORIZING THE REMOVAL OF STOP SIGNS ON "D"
5 STREET AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH TWENTY-EIGHTH STREET; AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 88-152

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

Resolution No. 2482, which designates certain
SECTION 1.

street intersections where a stop is required, Section One, Sub-
section (lIB), twenty-eighth street, is amended to read as
follows:
(lIb) For the purpose of stopping traffic entering Twenty-
Eighth Street at its intersection with the following streets:
