Synopsis of Previous Council action:
09-08-87 -- Finding made that installation of two 3-post hoists is
needed for health and safety reasons.
June, 1988- Allocation of $12,558 approved as the first of 5 annual
lease purchase payments.
Recommended motion:
That the plans for installation of a three-post hoist in
the Central Garage, in accordance with Plan No. 7578, be
approved; and the Director of Public Works/City En~ineer
authorized to advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for the installation of the second three-post hoist
have been prepared by the Engineering Division and the project is
ready to be advertised for bids.
The estimated cost for furnishing and installing this hoist
is $57,500.
An amount of $12,558 has been allocated, under Account No.
001-301-54011, to finance the first of five annual lease purchase
payments.
At their meeting of 9-10-87, the Environmental Review Com-
mittee found that the installation of two hoists was exempt from
the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act. One
hoist has been previously installed under another contract.
We recommend that the plans be approved and that authoriza-
tion be granted to advertise for bids.
