STAFF REPORT
The Data Processing Department requested the transfer of Data System Operator and
Data Processing Coordinator from the General Unit to the Confidential Unit because
of their access to information regarding decisions of City management affecting
employer-employee relations. There are no incumbent employees in either classifi-
cation.
The Data System Operator is currently at Range 1079 ($1552-1890/mo); its move to the
Confidential Unit at Range 3083 ($1467-1789/mo) will result in a salary savings of
$945 for the remainder of the fiscal year.
The Data Processing Coordinator (formerly titled Data System Coordinator) is a
previously existing non-budget position in the General Unit that was deleted
during the classification Study. Funding for this position will be from existing
current budget.
The Council Personnel Committee recommended approval of these actions at their
September 8, 1938, meeting.
