Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Resolution 83-273 was approved by the Mayor and Common Council in August 1983 to
establish an Agreement between the City and School District for delivery of lunches
and snacks to the City's Delmann Heights Head Start Center.
Resolutions 84-306 (August 1984), 85-240 (July 1985), 86-315 (August 1986) and
87-301 (September 1987) were approved to extend the Agreement for additional years.
Recommended motion:
Adopt the Resolution.

TO FOOD SERVICE AGREEMENT RELATING TO
DELIVERY OF LUNCHES AND SNACKS TO
DELMANN HEIGHTS HEAD START CENTER.
STAFF REPORT
The present agreement, Resolution 83-273 as amended has worked satisfactorily. There is
no change except to extend the Agreement for another year until June 30, 1989 and to
raise the price of student lunches from 85~ to 90~ and student snacks from 22~ to 25~.
Recommend approval.

4 FOR AN ADDITIONAL ONE YEAR PERIOD AND INCREASE THE STUDENT LUNCHES TO NINETY
CENTS EACH AND STUDENT SNACKS TO TWENTY-FIVE CENTS.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
6 BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
7 SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is hereby authorized
8 and directed to execute on behalf of said City Amendment No. 5 to the
9 Agreement with the San Bernardino City Unified School District relating to
10 the delivery of Type A Lunches and Schedule B Snacks to City's Delmann Heights
11 Head Start Center, to extend the term of the Agreement for an additional one
12 year period and increase the student lunches to ninety cents each and student
13 snacks to twenty-five cents each, a copy of which is attached hereto, marked
14 Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth
15 at length.
16 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the
17 Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a

AMENDMENT NO. 5
FOOD SERVICE AGREEMENT
The Food Service Agreement between the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO (DELMANN
HEIGHTS CHILD CARE CENTER) and the SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL
DISTRICT, dated July 1, 1983, is hereby amended in the following manner:
1. Exceptions:
a. Paragraph 4, Second Sentence is amended to read:
Type A lunches will be billed at the rate of one
dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) each for adult
lunches and ninety ($0.90) each for Type A student
lunches. Schedule B snacks will be billed at the
rate of twenty-five cents ($0.25) each.
b. The ParagE.."PP. titled TERM is amended to read: The
term of this Agreement shall be for a period beginning
July 1, 1988 and ending June 30, 1989. This Agreement
may be amended by mutual consent of both parties.
2. Any prior amendment to this Agreement is hereby revoked to
the extent it is inconsistent with this Amendment No.5.
