Dear Mayor Wilcox:
I am writing to seek your assistance in publicizing Arrowhead
United Way's 1988 fundraising campaign by hanging our "United Way"
banner along the "E" Street overcross between Central City Mall
and the Convention Center. The dates available for our possible
use are September 21 through October 6 and also October 18 through
October 31, 1988.
It is my understanding that there 1S a $100 fee for each time the
City hangs a banner. Since I do not have any funds in my current
budget for this particular item, I am hoping that the City of San
Bernardino would consider co-sponsoring this request. Would it
be possible for this request to be added to the agenda for the
September 19, 1988 City Counsil meeting? Any assistance which the
City can provide will be greatly appreciated!
On another matter, please accept our sincere thanks for all the fine
support we receive from the City of San Bernardino. Our Executive
Director, Richard W. Fisher, is really looking forward to appearing
on your local TV show and I will be working with Thelma Press in
coordinating interview questions.
