(f). Sulphuric Acid and Magnesia. The cement shall not contain more than one and seventy-five hundredths per cent (1.75%) of anhydrous sull.phuric acid (S03)' nor more than four per cent (4%) of magnesia (MgO). Section 2. Any person, firm, or corporation intending to use cement in the oonstruction of any sidewalks, curbs, or other public works in said City. shall give at least seven (7) days written notice to the City Engineer ~o take such samples as may be necessary to properly test the cement which is proposed to be used on the work. The City Engineer shall test the cement proposed to be usedmon said work and if found to be in accordance with the requirements of this ordinance, he shall issue a certificate to such person, firm, or corporation certifyin~ to that fact, and accepting such cement; and if found not to be in accordance with the requirements of this Ordinance, he shall reject the same and shall notify the owner thereof, in writing, of hi s rej ection. l!o cement shall be delivered or used on the work that has not been tested and accepted by the City Engineer. Section 3. All packages of cement so tested and accepted by the City Engineer as hereinbefore provided, shall be marked or stamped with an appropriate mark or stamp indicating that the con- tents of said package had been tested and accepted by the City Engineer of the City of San Bernard~; and it shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to use oJ.' permit to be used in the construction of any. sidewalks, curbs, or other public works in the City of San Bernardino, any cement which has not been tested and accepted by the City Engineer, as aforesaid, and the package containing the same does not bear the mark or stamp showing that -2- " ) ......I.-~ ,~, the same has been so tested and accepted.
