8 nardino do hereby ordain as follows, to-wit:
9 SE~ION I.
10 Ordinance No. 501 of the Ci ty of San Bernard ino is
11 herel)y amended "by adding a new Section thereto, to be known as
12 "Seetion7t, to read as follows:

SECTION 71-.
The gas supplied by any person, company or
14
corporation to the City of San Bernardino or the inha11i t"ants
thereof shall not at any time contain more than five (5) grains
of a.m...monia in anyone hundred (100) cubic :fee,t thereof, nor
shall the gas so supplied show or contain more than twenty-five
(25) grains of sulphur in anyone hundred (100) cubic f'eet of
such gas, and such gas so supplied or furnished shall at all
times be whOlly f'ree from sulphuretted hydrogen.

It is herel)y found and declared that this Ordinance
is urgently required for the immediate preservation of the pub-
lic peace, health, and safety of the City of San Bernardino and
the City Clerk shall certify to its passage by a two-thirds
(2/3) vote of the Common Council, and cause the same to be pub-
lished for three' consecutive days in the San Bernardino Daily
Sun, a newspaper printed, published, and circulated in the City
of San Bernardino and thereupon and thereafter it shall take
ef~ect and be in force.
