ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING SECTION
2.15.020 (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT) AND REPEALING CHAPTER 2.78 (CODE
COMPLIANCE) OF THE SAN BERNARDINO MUNICIPAL CODE.

THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. Section 2.15.020 of the San Bernardino Municipal Code is hereby

amended to read as follows:

2.15.020 Director - Duties.
9
The Department shall be under the management and control of the Director of
10
Community Development, who shall be appointed by the City Manager with approval of the
II
Mayor and Common Council. Under the policies of the Mayor and Common Council, the
12
Director shall have all the powers and perform all the duties that are now or may hereafter be
]3
conferred or imposed by City Charter, law or the Mayor and Common Council relating to
]4
planning, building and safety, code enforcement, development and shall plan, coordinate and
15
report on all the duties and activities involved in such programs.

SECTION 2. Chapter 2.78 (Code Compliance Department) of the San Bernardino
17
Municipal Code is hereby repealed in its entirety.
