Section:Jt Every hotel and lking house keeper
shall at all times keep a register in Wllich tlle na~e of
each lodger or person renting or occupying a room shall be
entered, together with, tile acldress of such person. Which
register shall be open at all times to the inspection of the
pOlice and to all authorized officials of the city of San
Bernardino.
Section 2. It is hereby declared unlawful for any
hotel keeper or lodging house keeper to rent any room to
any person, or allowing or permitting any person to occupy
any room, except such person so renting or occupying such
room shall first register his or her name and address in the
registe~ kept, for that purpose.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the ternlS of
this ordinance shall be deamedzuilty of a misdemeanor, and
on conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine no~
exceeding One Hundred Dollars or by imprisollilent not
exceading Thirty Days, or by both such fine amd Lmprisonrnent
-
in the discretion of the Court.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and
after Thirty Days after its adoption and approval.
Section 5. TJv:;City' Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be published
for three consecutive days in the Evening Index .
