2 AN ORDINANCE .A.l.mNDING ORDINANCE NO. 322 ENTIfJ'LED " AN
ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF BUSnmss, SHOWS,
3 EXHIBITIONS AND GAMES CONDUCTED OR CARRIED ON IN THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO, AND FIXING THE RATE OF LICENSE THEREFOR AND
4 PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF", BY ADENDING SECTION 30
THEREOF, AND BY ADDING FOUR NEW SECTIONS THERETO, PROVIDING
5 FOR THE LICENSING Oil PERSONS, FIRMS AND CORPORATIONS ENGAGED
IN THE TELEPHOEE BUSnmss, AND FOR PERSONS, FIRYS AND
6 CORPORATIONS DGAGED IN CANVASSING OR SOLICITING FOR THE
TAKING OF A!ID J4.AR:ING PICTURES AND PHOTOGRAPHS, AND FOR PEDDLERf
7 OF GOODS, WARES AND I!ERCHAlIDISE.
8 The Hayor and Common Council of the City of San
9 Bernardino do ordain as follows:
Section 1. Ordinance No. 322 of the City of San
Bernardino entitled "An Ordinance PrOViding for the Licensing
of BUSiness, Shows, EXhibitions and Games ionducted or Carried
On in the City of San Bernardino, and Fixing the Rate of
License Therefor and PrOViding for the Collection Thereof",
approved the 5th day of February, 1906, is hereby amended
by adding a new section thereto, to be known as Section 69a
and to read as follows:

"Section 69a. Every person, firm or corporation engaged
in conducting or\ carry-i.ng on the telephone business wi thin

the city of San Bernardino shall pay a monthly J1cense of Ten
Dollars, payable quart.erly in advance'.~

22 Section 2. Section 30 of said ordinance NO.322 is here-
23 by amended tp read as follows:
24 "Section 30. For every callvasser, solicitor or agent
25 taking or soliciting orders from house to house for painting,

26 retouching, finiShing, taking, making or enlarging or photo-
27 graphs or pictures of any and all kinds and dee~r!Ption,
2~! and for every person taking or sOliciting orders for, or
29 selling coupons or contraet;sfor having any picture taken,
30 nade, enlarged, retouched or finiShed, per month, one hundred
31 iollara, payable quarterly."

1 Section~. Said ordinance is further amended by adding a
2 new section thereto, to be known as Section 30a, to read as
3 follows:
"Section 30a. For every traveling photographer or person
taking pictures upon public streets, or going from house to
ouse for the purpose of taking pictures or views of build-
places or pereons, per ~onth, one hundred dollars,
ayable quarterly."
Section 4. Said ordinance is further amended by adding a
section thereto, to be known as Section 30b, to read as
"Section 30b. For every person conducting or carrying on
studio or photograph gallery, who solicits from house to
ouse, or sends out canvassers or agents to solicit from house
for the taking of and making of any picture or
or photographs, or for selling coupons or contracts
or the haVing of any picture or photograph taken or made, per
onth, one hundred dollars, payable quarterly."
Section 5. ~aid ordinance is further amended be adding a
section thereto, to be known as Section 30b, to read as

22 "Section 30c. F/oi' every person, firm or corporation
23 eddling about the streets from house to house, any goods,
24 ares or merchandise, not otherwise provided for, shall be
25 ubj ect toa.a license of $100.00 per month, payable quarterly."

Section 6. this ordinance shall take effect and be in
and after thirty days after its passage and approval.
Section 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
this ordinance and cause the same to be pUblishes for three
onsecutive days in The Evening Index.
