AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PLACING , DEPOSITING OR
DISCHARGING O. OIL IN THE PUBLIC SWWERS OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO.
The Mator and Common Council of t1 e Ci ty of San Ber-
nardino, do ordain as follows :
Section IX- It is hereby declared to be unlawful for any
person, firm or corporation to place, deposit or' discharge,
or to caU8e ,8uffer or penni' to be placed, deposited
01~.c~rged any pe'rol~ ,naptha , liquid asphal_um ,
or any kindred sub-.nce J or water mixed with any such sub-
.tance , into any pub11c 8ewer on this City- , or
latera1s co~nected therewit~n said City, or on or upon
any .treet, alley or public place , or on or upon any
private property in said City, in such manner that the
same will be permitted to run into any such sewer
or latera1 .
Section 2,- Any perso~, firm , or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor , and upon conviction thereof aha
be punished by a fine in a sum not exceeding two hundred
( $200,00) Dollars, or by imprisonment for a term not
exoeeding three (3) months, or by both such fine and impri
onmant in the discretion of the Court .
Sect.ion 3,... The Ci'GY Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this ordinance and cause the same to be publish
ed three (3) consecutive days in~t..~
